I Am Home from Turkey

I just got back from the Middle East and things are more than a little bit of a mess over there. Of course we are looking at things as a business and looking for stability. It is a really big market and we have to figure out if we want to play or not. I learned the words casino siteleri from my guide while I was in Turkey. He told me about it while he was trying to place a bet on his favorite soccer team, or as they say over there football team. He was all about that and I tried to act as though I was not as totally clueless as I am. I know a little about the English league perhaps and I know the names of a half dozen of the really famous players. These people talk about football all of the time, but then we do as well and we are talking about something completely different. At any rate I am thinking about the casinos in a completely different way.

We are looking at making a whole lot bigger bets and it is impossible to see how we can make them when the current leadership is in control of Turkey for example. Nowhere in the Middle East do you have a government that you can rely upon, perhaps unless you exclude Israel which is not a terribly large market. In Egypt you have a vastly unpopular kleptocracy and the only alternative is essentially the Muslim Brotherhood. That is how the authoritarians paint the picture, they say that it is either them or you end up with some crazy terrorist in control of your lives. No one is a good enough Muslim for those people either, so these people know that would a lot worse for them.
